The days may be getting gloomier, but the fun is far from over.
To celebrate the launch of Play, our newest occasionwear capsule designed to bring joy back into winter dressing! This month we hosted an intimate games night at The Tap Room in Salt River with some of our favourite creators, artists, influencers and generally fun people.
Because if there’s one thing about Play, it’s that this collection deserved a launch with just as much personality as the clothes themselves.
The space was transformed by the incredible teams at I Do Box and Scape Events into a playful, velvet-filled dreamscape complete with jewel tones, layered textures and games scattered throughout the venue. Roulette tables, blackjack, bingo and chess created the perfect backdrop for a night that felt luxe, playful and slightly chaotic in the best possible way.
And of course, bold was better.
Guests arrived dressed for the occasion while mannequins styled in key Me&B occasion pieces brought the collection to life throughout the space. Drinks flowed courtesy of Pink Valley Wines, while Kelly and Betina chatted guests through the inspiration behind the range, introducing standout pieces and encouraging everyone to fully lean into the fun of dressing up again.
At the heart of Play is the idea that winter dressing doesn’t need to become practical, predictable or boring. Instead, this capsule invites customers to embrace the mood-boosting power of getting dressed, whether that means slipping into a perfectly fitting wrap dress or going all in on feathers, sequins and statement textures.
And when it comes to statement details, Play definitely understood the assignment.
Guests gravitated towards the collection’s playful finishing touches, with the feather-trimmed pieces quickly becoming crowd favourites. The Sizzle Set: a soft satin co-ord finished with feather hem detailing naturally drew attention all night long, while the Eye Candy Dress became one of the evening’s most talked-about styles. Originally shown in our SS25 runway collection, the dress made its way into production after overwhelming demand!
The capsule itself leans into rich burgundy, chocolate brown, pink, black and silver tones, combining playful satin prints with standout occasionwear silhouettes designed to be mixed, matched and worn your own way.
Because joyful dressing looks different for everyone.
For some, it’s a bold feather set. For others, it’s simply wearing the thing that makes you feel your best. Play exists somewhere in between, encouraging customers to experiment, have fun and embrace a little more personality in the colder months.
Play was proudly made locally in South Africa by our incredible network of CMTs and is available in our full size curve from sizes 32–46.
The collection was produced in an intentionally limited run to make it feel even more special - so once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
